Welcome to my blog my jungle girls and jungle boys !!!!
I want to start my new fashion lover adventure by talking with you about a contemporary and gritty style: the ANIMALIER style.
Origins of the animalier style:
The animalier style made its first appearance on the catwalks the spring/summer season 1947, and the designer to state this style was the very famous Christian Dior, with its models wrapped in clouds of chiffon leopard print.
Dior with his imaginative style already conquered the fashion in those years and continue to be to this day the designer prestigious that we have the pleasure of knowing.
They followed him in the 60s, the designer Valentino with his giraffe print nell”87 was named “King of the jungle of fashion” for the breadth of styles that animal has proposed.
In the 70s he had his debut with Yves Saint Laurent leopard-print caftans.
Despite all the designer who is able to do dell’animalier its brand identity was Roberto Cavalli; him remember the cheetah print already in the seventies and then again in the Spring / Summer season 1996 the stripes in the P / E 1999 and printing butterfly P / E 2006 and in most fish-scale sequins, leopard patterns , crocodile, lynx, snake.
But let’s start from more behing…
The style we now call Animalier or spotted or animal print fabric was used in ancient times by primitive men as clothing for warmth and protection. In addition to a valuable source for their survival such leaders also had a purely spiritual meaning so that the aristocrats were using them as decorative rugs or stuffed statues as a symbol of their status and their nobility.
In ancient Greece style Animalier was in fact known as “zoote” and today this must include the mold mantle animal such as the leopard, brindle, python and zebra.
Some animalier styles
In ‘700 from a style associated with the cult became subject to the completion of the first fabrics and silks to adorn the courts of Europe thus giving a purely exotic touch.
Between 800 and ‘900 movement was born British Aesthetic Movement that proposed the Animalier with flowing lines suitable for women intellectuals and emancipated.
Some of the first Animalier attires worn. Coats, collars, sleeves, trench coats, long dresses, bags everything was also accepted at that time for a woman at the forefront who knew what she wanted.
The Animalier style today:
Even today, all the designers “courting” this style not only in clothing but also in the many accessories we buy every day.
From bags, to jewelery, to cover mobile, scarves and even umbrellas to the Animalier is a boundary that must not continue to attract with its flavor chic, sophisticated, mysterious, sensual can overwhelm and confuse the viewer condemning to get lost in its many forms and styles.
Blugirl with his brindle coats manages to mix elegance, sensuality, giving a wild touch to each creation. The outerwear is part of her autumn-winter collection 2014-2015.
The jaunty and distinctive style of Moschino for an extravagant woman who wants to be noticed.
The oversized style of Ermanno Scervino: this year, the watchword is to wear clothes much bigger than our size as if we had “sfrugato” in the closet of a HIM.
Personally style that caught my attention the most is the collection of Bailman: animal style braided with black, jackets over skirts, long skirts and narrow Amish style for a style modest but at the same time elegant.
And we can’t forget the bags…
